THIRD SYMPOSIUM OF CONTEMPORARY MOSAIC - 2018
PLOAGHE, SARDINIA, ITALY
I was fortunate to be invited to participate in this symposium directed by Maestro Giulio Menossi as an Australian representative.
The symposium was held in Ploaghe, a small town on the island of Sardinia, Italy. The experience was completely immersive and gave artists the opportunity to work along side others from around the world under the mentorship of Giulio Menossi. These images contain a snapshot of the unique experience. |

Over an 11 day period all artists each created a large scale work for the Contemporary Mosaic Collection in Ploaghe. The theme that we worked to was 'Colours and Movement of the Landscape'. I chose to represent the Australian native bird the Black Cockatoo which regularly flies over my home and studio. It's distinctive call signals the coming of rain and its majestic wing span and graceful movement over the landscape inspires me continuously.
